1. Wellness in workspaces
Workspace wellness is the concept of creating a healthy, safe, and comfortable working environment that supports employee well-being. The idea behind it is to help sustain the health and well-being of employees so that they can perform better, which in turn leads to better productivity for both the employer and employee.
Workspace wellness includes an increased focus on physical safety in the form of ergonomic design, full accessibility policies, and reduced exposure to chemical hazards. It also includes environmental conditions like air quality or temperature controls.
Many companies now offer their employees access to physical therapy, nutritionists and other types of support as part of their workspace wellness initiatives.
One way to support employee wellness is through an occupational health service provider. They’re goal is to help your business ensure employee safety and wellness. One example is through pre-employment medicals among other services.

2. Intermittent fasting
Intermittent fasting is a dieting practice that involves alternating between periods of fasting and eating.
The dieting practice, which can be done on a variety of schedules, has been gaining traction in the health space for its benefits. Some people choose to do it for religious reasons (Muslims fast for Ramadan, for example).
Others use it as a way to eat healthier and manage body goals. Additionally, intermittent fasting is gaining ground among entrepreneurs and other workers who are looking to maximise their productivity through more efficient eating habits.

3. Telemedicine
Telemedicine is the use of a telecommunications technology to provide clinical healthcare, health advice, or mental health services to patients remotely. This is done either through live interactive video and audio feed or through store-and-forward interactions such as email and videoconferencing.
According to The Department of Health and Aged Care: “Almost two years since telehealth was introduced by the Australian Government as a temporary initiative in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, 100 million services have now been delivered across the nation.”
More than ever, people are becoming more open to the idea of receiving medical care without stepping into a doctor’s office. It’s not surprising that telemedicine has gained popularity in recent years.

4. Self care
Self care is watching out for your well-being – one of the absolute best ways to invest in your future. This can involve anything that nurtures you, and is a time to reconnect with yourself.
Self care is important because it prevents us from feeling burnt out and helps us maintain our sanity in the world we live in today. It’s also a way for us to take good care of ourselves and our mental health by reducing stress levels.

5. Taking wellness sabbaticals
A wellness sabbatical is a break taken for rest and relaxation, or to experience new or different environments.
The idea behind the “wellness” sabbatical is the idea that longer timeframes are necessary for well-being.
Oftentimes when people take a break from work, they return to their old habits because they are not able to make lasting changes in their personal lives. A wellness sabbatical is more than just taking a break from work. It includes personal growth, mindfulness, and other aspects of wellness such as nutrition and fitness.

Wrapping up
Wellness is essential for living a long and fruitful life especially in times like this where people are more mindful about health.
Taking care of yourself includes the mind, body, and soul, no matter how busy you become or how difficult the daily grind can be.
Take the initiative. Invest in your health and try these trends. The benefits of such an investment are worth it!
