BRAMPTON, ON — The Peel Regional Police Association has endorsed Patrick
Brown for re-election as Mayor of Brampton.
Adrian Woolley, President of the Association, announced the endorsement today
at Brown’s campaign office in Brampton.
“Our members know how important it is to have municipal leaders who take
public safety seriously and listen to the people serving on the front lines,” said
Woolley. “We are proud to endorse Patrick Brown for re-election as Mayor of
Brampton.”
Brown thanked the Association for its support and reaffirmed his commitment to
community safety.
“I’m honoured to have the support of the Peel Regional Police Association,” said
Brown. “Its members serve our community every day, and I value their
perspective on what it takes to keep Brampton safe. I will continue to advocate
for the officers, resources and partnerships our growing city needs.”
ATU Local 1573 has endorsed Patrick Brown for re-election as Mayor of
Brampton, citing his support for transit workers and investment in public transit.
“I support and represent the hard-working members of ATU Local 1573 as the president. I’m
here today to let you know that we fully support and endorse Mayor Patrick Brown,” said
Andrew Salabie, President of ATU Local 1573, in a video announcing the endorsement.
“Mayor Brown has always been there for the labour movement. He’s always invested
interest in the hard-working transit workers in the City of Brampton. He stood there with
us. He’s shown on multiple occasions that he’s more than willing to invest and do what it
takes to support public transit, and we support you, Mayor Brown.”
Brown thanked Salabie and ATU Local 1573 for their support.
“Transit workers keep Brampton moving every day. I’m grateful to President Salabie and
the members of ATU Local 1573 for their endorsement,” said Brown. “Their work matters to
families across our city, and I’ll continue to support the people who deliver the transit
service Brampton depends on.”
