‘Bharat Tex 2026: Weaving Indian Textiles Excellence into Fabric of Global Growth’

Bharat Tex 2026, India’s largest global textile event, is set to be held from 14th– 17thJuly 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, showcasing the complete breadth and depth of India’s textile ecosystem on a unified global platform. Organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Federation, a consortium of Textile Export Promotion Councils and Industry Bodies, with the support of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, the event showcases growing India’s global leadership in textiles, fashion, sustainability, technology, innovation, investment and international trade.

Inspired by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s 5F Vision – Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign, Bharat Tex 2026 has evolved into a premier global platform for business, investment, sourcing, innovation, policy dialogue and strategic partnerships across the textile value chain. The event brings together manufacturers, exporters, global buyers, brands, sourcing consultants, investors, policymakers, States, international delegations, designers, artisans, start-ups and technology providers.

The third edition is expected to witness participation of over 7,000 buyers, 1.3 lakh trade visitors, 20,000+ textile products and exhibition spread across 1.6 million sq. ft. leading to meaningful commercial engagements during the event.

The event brings together over 350 speakers including international experts, national industry leaders, CXOs, policymakers and thought leaders from more than 20 countries alongside a dedicated International Pavilion designed to deepen global participation and facilitate structured cross-border engagement. Speakers and experts from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Portugal, France, Switzerland, South Korea, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Sweden, Kenya, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Egypt and Indonesia are expected to contribute to discussions.

This edition has witnessed overwhelming participation with Eight Sponsor States including Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. In addition, nine States and UTs, including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, Manipur, Rajasthan and West Bengal, are participating as exhibitors. These State participations will showcase India’s regional textile ecosystems, investment opportunities, cluster capabilities, manufacturing infrastructure and policy & regulatory support.

On the exhibition front, Bharat Tex 2026 presents a comprehensive showcase of India’s complete textile value chain with over 1,600 exhibitors across dedicated exhibition halls spanning fibre, yarn, fabric, apparel and fashion, home textiles, technical textiles and ancillary industries. Another key highlight of the exhibition is celebrating and showcasing India’s textile clusters including Tirupur, Ichalkaranji and Ahmedabad, amongst others. This edition has international exhibitors from 14 countries including United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Portugal, Spain, New Zealand, South Korea, South Africa, Nepal among others. In addition, there is strong institutional representation from the United Nations and European Union, and strong participation from industry players with key sponsors including Trident, Vardhman Textiles, RSWM, Shahi Exports, Colorjet, Arvind, PDS Limited and Sattva underscoring Bharat Tex’s standing as India’s largest Global Textiles Expo.

In addition, the third edition of the event is anchoring 100+ knowledge sessions, marking a significant scale-up from the previous edition. These include 39 panel discussions, 16 roundtables, 37 master classes, 8 State sessions and other specialised formats. More than 50 partner agencies have been onboarded to support the knowledge programme. The key thematic areas covered are Trade & Investment, Technology & Innovation, Sustainability & Circularity, Fashion & Craft, Policy Sessions and dedicated State Sessions. These sessions focus on addressing the challenges faced by the textiles industry and address key areas such as export readiness, sustainability compliances, industry 5.0, fibre security, product innovation, global sourcing mega trends and emerging technologies which would help MSMEs and emerging exporters compete better across key markets.

The event is expected to facilitate nearly 3,500 curated B2B meetings, over 100 B2G meetings and the signing of over 20 MoUs across trade, investment, technology, sustainability, market access and institutional collaboration. These engagements are expected to create tangible outcomes for exporters, manufacturers, buyers, suppliers, States and international partners. The event is also expected to provide a major boost investment promotion, global sourcing partnerships, MSME integration, technical textile growth, sustainable manufacturing and Brand India positioning in global textile markets.

The international profile of Bharat Tex continues to expand with growing interest from governments, industry associations and global textile stakeholders. Ministerial delegations from countries including New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Cambodia and Brunei have shown interest in participating in the event, reflecting Bharat Tex’s emergence as an important platform for international policy dialogue and bilateral cooperation in the textile sector.

In parallel, industry and business delegations from the United States, Japan, Spain, United Kingdom, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, New Zealand, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Uganda, among others, are expected to participate, creating significant opportunities for trade, sourcing, investment partnerships and business collaboration across the global textile value chain. The engagements have been designed to reflect each delegation’s specific requirements, aligning with bilateral trade priorities and shared industry interests. These special sessions cover themes such as the India-US cotton partnership, India-New Zealand wool ecosystem, India-UK FTA in action, Japan delegation engagement and Russia-focused textile discussions.

Another significant feature of this edition is dedicated State Investor Connect Sessions. These sessions provide States with a platform to present investment opportunities, industrial infrastructure, PM MITRA linkages, policy support and sectoral strengths. State sessions are planned for Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, Maharashtra, Telangana and Tamil Nadu, along with a focused Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh PM MITRA Master Developer Session. These sessions are expected to strengthen Centre-State-industry collaboration, attract investments and accelerate the development of globally competitive textile manufacturing ecosystems.

Bharat Tex 2026 is also host the CITI Textile Sustainability Awards 2026, structured around seven core focus areas of Resource Efficiency, Energy & Emissions, Circular Economy, Sustainable Materials, Social Responsibility, Responsible Business and Industry Collaboration, reflecting the full spectrum of sustainable and responsible practices across the textile value chain, from water and materials conservation and renewable energy adoption to circular innovation, ethical supply chains and cluster-level partnerships.

To strengthen digital enablement, recently, the Bharat Tex 2026 Mobile App has been launched as a unified digital companion for exhibitors, buyers, delegates, speakers and visitors. The app enables seamless event navigation, exhibitor discovery, B2B meeting scheduling, digital badge access, QR-based lead capture, live agenda access and AI-powered assistance. The app is helping buyers, delegates and exhibitors in matchmaking, managing meetings, locating booths, accessing floor plans, receiving real-time updates and building structured post-event leads. The Pre-Fair Directory is enabling buyer-seller matchmaking before the event.
