Actor Dhanush recently shared the captivating poster of “Ilayaraaja,” a forthcoming film where he embodies the role of the revered music maestro, Isaignani Ilayaraaja. At the tender age of 14, he embarked on a musical odyssey with the Pavalar Brothers, immersing himself in the folk melodies of the region. His momentous entry into the world of cinema came in 1975 when producer Panchu Arunachalam recognized his prodigious talent, leading to the groundbreaking success of “Annakili” in 1976, directed by Bharathirajaa.
Since then, Ilayaraaja’s illustrious career has spanned over four decades, encompassing over 1,500 films across multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
