The FIFA Museum in Zurich will launch its World Cup Fever programme on 20 May 2026, ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ in Canada, Mexico and the United States. Bringing together exhibitions and activities connected to the tournament, the programme combines the new special exhibition “World Cup Fever: Skills Zone” with public viewings of selected FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches during the tournament.

As the first part of the programme, World Cup Fever: Skills Zone offers visitors an interactive experience centred on core football skills, allowing them to test their own abilities in a setting inspired by the world’s biggest stage. Designed around the structure of a football match, the exhibition leads visitors through a sequence of interactive stations focused on speed, agility, coordination and precision.

A halftime section is dedicated to the FIFA World Cup 2026™, offering an overview of the host countries, cities and stadiums, while an audio layer in the style of a live match broadcast accompanies visitors throughout. At the end of the experience, each visitor receives a personalised scorecard summarising their results, allowing them to compare their performance with others.

Each station is associated with elite footballers and the skill they demonstrate at the highest level of the game. The challenges draw on the abilities of players such as Erling Haaland, Vinícius Júnior, Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi, Yassine Bounou, Vitinha and Harry Kane, and are based on training systems used in professional sport to measure and develop cognitive and motor performance factors such as reaction, perception and agility.

Displayed alongside the challenges are authentic objects from the FIFA Museum’s official collection, connecting the interactive experience to both the professional game and its history. Highlights include a Manchester City F.C. shirt worn by Erling Haaland during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ and boots worn by Vinícius Júnior at the FIFA World Cup 2022™, providing tangible links to performances on the global stage.

Alongside the exhibition, the World Cup Fever programme will continue throughout the summer with public viewings of selected FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches. The FIFA Museum will offer fans the opportunity to follow key fixtures together in a unique football setting and share the atmosphere of the tournament in Zurich.

“With World Cup Fever, we are extending the spirit of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ to Zurich through experiences that bring people closer to the game,” said Marco Fazzone, FIFA Museum Managing Director. “Skills Zone highlights the abilities demanded at the highest level, while our public viewings will create opportunities for fans to share the excitement of the tournament together.

Alongside its programme in Zurich, the FIFA Museum will also deliver exhibitions and activations during the FIFA World Cup 2026™ summer in Miami, Vancouver and Hong Kong. An additional international location will be announced in the coming weeks.

World Cup Fever: Skills Zone is available as an add-on to a regular museum ticket and is priced at CHF 8. Further information on public viewings and the World Cup Fever programme is available at www.fifamuseum.com/en/zurich/plan-your-visit/world-cup-fever.
