On August 17, 2025, Nathan Phillips Square will transform into a vibrant mosaic of Indian art, heritage, and celebration as Panorama India, in partnership with the Consulate General of India in Toronto, hosts the 78th Indian Independence Day Festival. From 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, downtown Toronto will pulsate with music, dance, and the unmistakable spirit of India—free and open to all.
🎉 A Day of Cultural Immersion
The festival begins with a Patriotic Segment, featuring more than 100 children performing live through song and dance, setting the tone for a deeply moving celebration of freedom and national pride.
At the heart of the festivities is the Grand Parade, sponsored by TD Canada, spotlighting colorful floats that represent various Indian states. Participants from community groups and cultural organizations will march with flags and banners to reflect India’s “Unity in Diversity.” Acclaimed Marathi playback singer Sharayu Date will lead the parade as Celebrity Marshal, culminating the evening with a free live concert.

The vendor marketplace promises a curated selection of authentic Indian cuisine, fashion, jewelry, and local businesses. Attendees will enjoy interactive experiences, family-friendly activities, and an opportunity to experience India’s diversity without leaving Toronto.
