The closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics is set to dazzle with an all-star lineup featuring Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. These California-born artists will take the stage on Sunday as part of the handover ceremony to the 2028 Los Angeles Games. Adding to the excitement, fellow Californian H.E.R. is expected to perform the U.S. national anthem live at the Stade de France.
“This marks the most significant moment in LA28 history so far, as the Olympic flag transitions from Paris to Los Angeles,” said LA28 Chairperson Casey Wasserman. “We’re thrilled to showcase the very best of LA with local artists, and we’re deeply appreciative of Billie, H.E.R., the Chili Peppers, and Snoop for collaborating on what promises to be an incredible show for a global audience. This will give fans a glimpse of the excitement to come in 2028.”
The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics also made headlines, featuring a performance by Lady Gaga and the much-anticipated return of Celine Dion, following her battle with stiff person syndrome.
Los Angeles will host the Olympics for the third time, having previously held the Games in 1984 and 1932. Notably, this will be the first time the city will also host the Paralympics.
