The Asia Women Tech Leaders Awards (AWTLA) celebrated International Women’s Day by announcing its top 50 winners, recognizing the remarkable contributions of women in technology across Asia. These women, from various countries, showcased exceptional technical expertise, leadership, and commitment to fostering diversity and innovation in the tech industry.
Launched with an open call for nominations in October 2023, the AWTLA sought to highlight the exceptional talents of women technologists of various nationalities who reside in Asia, breaking barriers, and spearheading innovations within the tech sector in Asia. From software engineers and hardware experts to CIOs, CTOs, and cybersecurity specialists, the nominees’ diversity and depth of expertise were genuinely inspiring. A total of 126 nominees from 13 countries in APAC were received.
These 50 winners, hailing from Australia, Bangladesh, Hong Kong SAR, India, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Philippines, and Singapore, have also demonstrated exceptional technical expertise, leadership, and a commitment to fostering diversity and innovation in the technology landscape.
The AWTLA serves as a platform for validation, visibility, empowerment, and networking for its winners, symbolizing a transformative shift towards inclusivity and innovation in Asia’s tech landscape.
The winners were chosen based on inspiring achievements, technical expertise, and leadership qualities by an esteemed panel of judges. HCLTech, a global technology company, served as the presenting sponsor of the AWTLA.
