Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023’ at the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun. The summit’s theme is ‘Peace to Prosperity.’ During the event, industry leaders praised Uttarakhand’s investment-friendly environment, citing factors such as clearances, competitive land prices, power availability, skilled manpower, and stable law and order. Leaders from Adani Group, JSW, ITC, Patanjali, Emaar India, and TVS Supply Chain Solutions outlined their investment plans and lauded the government’s initiatives.
The Prime Minister highlighted Uttarakhand’s development projects, praised the state government’s efforts, and emphasized the benefits of a double-engine government. He discussed the potential of Uttarakhand’s tourism sector, urged investors to explore opportunities in various sectors, and proposed the ‘Wed in India’ movement. The Prime Minister also commended the House of Himalayas brand, emphasizing the importance of promoting local products globally. He called for high-quality manufacturing, strengthening local supply chains, and reducing import bills. In conclusion, Prime Minister Modi declared that India is on the path to becoming the third-largest global economy, urging investors to contribute to Uttarakhand’s development journey. The Governor and Chief Minister of Uttarakhand were also present at the summit.
