TO Live, in partnership with JLF Toronto, is set to welcome one of India’s most beloved storytellers for an intimate, one‑night‑only event. On Friday, September 25, 2026, Meridian Hall will host Zakir Khan in Conversation—a special appearance that offers audiences a chance to see the acclaimed performer far beyond the familiar spotlight of stand‑up comedy.
Currently pausing his global touring schedule, Khan arrives in Toronto for an evening of reflection, memory, and dialogue. Presented in Hindi, the program invites audiences into a more personal encounter with the artist, exploring the themes that have shaped his voice: identity, language, creativity, and the lived experiences behind his work. It’s a rare opportunity to witness the vulnerability and cultural insight that underpin his signature humour and storytelling.
Khan’s rise from Indore to international acclaim began with his win at Comedy Central India’s Best Stand-Up Comedian competition in 2012. Since then, he has become a defining figure in contemporary Indian performance, celebrated for transforming everyday moments into resonant, universal narratives. His “sakht launda” persona has become a generational touchstone, embraced across India and the global South Asian diaspora.
His global reach continues to expand. Khan has sold out major venues across Toronto—including Meridian Hall and Scotiabank Arena—toured extensively across North America, the Middle East, and Asia, and made history as the first Indian comedian to headline a full Hindi stand-up show at Madison Square Garden.
Tickets, starting at $45, are available at tolive.com.
