The largest South Asian festival in Canada, #BollywoodMonster Mashup, will kick off its return with the #BollywoodMonster Launch Party. The VIP event takes place Wed July 19 at 6 pm EST at C Banquets in Mississauga Civic Centre. A limited number of ticket holders will get access to the evening, where they’ll meet Bollywood stars Ash King, Shashaa Tirupati and Aishwarya Pandit, (brought to you by Tourism Mississauga), and enjoy complimentary drinks & hors d’oeuvres.
Ash King was one of the first Bollywood playback singers in India to promote R&B into Indian cinema, as with his hit song “I Love You” (Bodyguard). His hit song “Baarish” (from the movie Half Girlfriend) had over 9.7M views in one day, surpassing a whopping 390M views to date and becoming King’s biggest hit. Award-winning playback singer Shashaa Tirupati has recorded songs in over 20 languages and is the voice behind hits like “The Humma Song” (OK Jaanu), “Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga” (Half Girlfriend) and “Singappenney” (Bigil). Tirupati’s top ten hits have over 1.7B views on YouTube and she’s amassed over 1.3M followers on social media. Aishwarya Pandit, brought to you by Tourism Mississauga, built a name for herself on reality TV show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (season 27) and India’s Got Talent (season 7). Pandit launched her singing career with the song “Yeh Kutumb” (Kutumb) and has since released hits like “Baithe Baithe,” her most popular song with over 120M views on YouTube.

At 6 pm EST, doors open for a semi-formal VIP cocktail party. The event boasts a 360 photobooth, flair bartender, caricature artist and much more to enjoy. The #BollywoodMonster String Quartet will play original acoustic arrangements of Bollywood tunes while you snack on complimentary drinks & hors d’oeuvres.
