Premier Doug Ford issued the following statement to mark the Easter holiday
“Today, across Ontario and around the world, families will gather to celebrate Easter, one of the most sacred days on the Christian calendar. For Christians, Easter Sunday marks the miraculous resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion. It’s a special time of hope, renewal, and rebirth coinciding with the arrival of the spring season.
For others, the Easter long weekend is an opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends while the young ones enjoy chocolate treats dropped off by the Easter Bunny during his annual visit.
No matter how you celebrate, I want to wish all Ontarians a very Happy Easter!”
