Mothers Day?

Hello namaste to all my readers,

I know that all of my beloved readers would just be in high-spirits with some revealed and not so revealed plans for mothers day celebration by their children and wondering over my headline that ends with question mark put right after Mothers Day.
As this is a mothers first reaction when children utter out any celebration plans for mothers day and it is the question that is asked with mydriasis ( Pupil widened to its full stretch). Mothers never seek any credit or specific hashtags, expensive gifts or dinners. A mother always wants her child to excel in every field they have inculcated their interests in.
But a note to all my dear readers on this Mother’s Day all to keep healthy, fit and fine. I am not here to glorify the mother-child bond or the motherhood but I am just going a little more Candid over this, for, nowadays, what actually we are doing and what needs to be done, in regards to, rearing children from young to adults and our children even when they develop gray strands.
A mother is all the things we know from the very beginning from giving birth to any point of time in life, if your mother is alive you always have a back! Wait for a moment! Hold on, yes, Please hold on, I guess we have become child-pleasing right from infancy we try to give them more fancy things and it’s very hard for us to say ‘No’ to them. As mothers nowadays in order to let their children learn that how much importance they give to the children are turning children to spoilt brats by the superficial ‘Ayes!
Right from the childhood we should make them learn, picking up the scattered pieces of paper and throwing them to the trash cans packing stuff for at least themselves, helping them manage a little personal expense from their pocket money, social service from their pocket money, saving a little after making expense from their own pocket money.
Let them learn about earning and its importance right from childhood. Give them small tasks to
do.
Pick up scattered pieces of paper
Dust-off father’s computer or laptop
Segregating their dirty and clean clothes
Segregating the closet
Washing their own undergarments as kids love to play with soap and water, let them learn a little more and you can instill a good habit.
Brushing once in children is a normal routine, make them brush at night also. For when they themselves ask you to brush at night, give them money and let them know that it adds to their hard earned money.
Ask them to check the house if any extra lights are turned on, tell them to inform any elder in the house to turn them off and when they do good give them a little money.
If they do something bad or unwanted then deduct from the money, cancel the weekend plans and tell them that this is the consequence of the bad deed they had done.
Make fruits and vegetables, healthy sandwiches a snack instead of junk food and confectionery.

I know that many would feel that this is focusing over money or it would turn child greedy. Trust me, it would not. In this practical world we need to exercise, being pragmatic to our kids too.
I have a 3-year-old-son, a hot-headed man I would rather say. He doesn’t easily takes a ‘no’ infact on hearing no he repents back but making them understand what is needed, what is wastage and how much important it is to study well, earn and do good, is the duty of the mother. Mother is the first teacher of the child.
As I mentioned above to give the money and let them take care of their own money, I do the very same to my son and if he wants a chocolate he pulls up the money from his little pouch. I too ask him, if I need something, he pampers me with the little amount that I ask him for.
A little inspiration about brought-up I look back to my own mother but I am a great admirer of bird and animal mothers and I am treading more on to it, birds and animals just like human beings give birth nurse and make them learn without scholastic degrees. As birds and animals make their young ones able enough to survive without their decisions or support when they(birds and animals) leave their parents.
We must think about that we cannot always be with the children and not everywhere as we can never be but we must imbibe the good habits, mannerism, the habit of helping and most importantly to be independent a free bird.
My child will forever be mine and I always be his mother but the question arises I don’t want to deliver a spoilt brat to the society. I want him to tread independent not just economically but with ability of decision- making and socializing, I dont want him to lean on his mothers shoulders when confronting tough times or an important decision and I am certainly not a mother who she would woo her children to get a God-mother type glorification certificate from Children. Help your children but don’t paralyse them to your shoulders or decisions. Let us all celebrate the most tough job of being a mother happy Mothers Day to you all.

Would love to hear from you.
