#BollywoodMonster Mashup returns to Mississauga Celebration Square July 21 & 22

The largest South Asian festival in Canada, #BollywoodMonster Mashup, returns to Mississauga Celebration Square on Fri July 21 & Sat July 22. Audiences will enjoy free performances by Bollywood stars at the #BollywoodMonster Concerts presented by TD Bank Group. Ash King, singer of hit song “Baarish”  from the movie Half Girlfriend, along with Shashaa Tirupati and Aishwarya Pandit (brought to you by Tourism Mississauga), will be performing live on stage. In addition to “Baarish,” Ash King is known for singing “Nazar Na Lag Jaaye” from the film Stree starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. Shashaa Tirupati is known for “The Humma Song” from the film OK Jaanu starring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, and was featured on megahit “Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga” alongside Arijit Singh. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa finalist Aishwarya Pandit will perform her songs “Baithe Baithe” and “Pyaar Karke.”

“We’re back for our thirteenth year!” says festival Executive Director Vikas Kohli. “Dance to Ash, Shashaa and Aishwarya’s hit songs, watch electrifying dance performances, eat delicious food, enjoy a laser show and more. The whole family can enjoy this event,  all with free entry, free parking and free family activities! Come dance, sing and feast with us at this one-of-a-kind festival at Mississauga Celebration Square.”

In addition to Bollywood celebrities, 100+ homegrown stars will take to the Virgin Plus #BollywoodMonster Main Stage. The two-day #BollywoodMonster Concerts presented by TD offers performances in Bollywood, Sufi, pop and rock, along with popular folk and traditional dances like Kathak, Mujra, Garba and more. The OLG #BollywoodMonster Orchestra, an original music and dance production created by Kohli, Associate Artistic Director Ev Harris and teen music prodigy Antonia Cambre, is set to feature Bollywood songs from the 80s mashed up with other 80s hits. Audiences can expect to dance to mashups such as “Yaad Aa Raha Hain” from Disco Dancer x “What A Feeling” from Flashdance.

Fri Jul 21 @ 4 pm EST – Catch Shashaa Tirupati (singer of “The Humma Song”) and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa finalist Aishwarya Pandit brought to you by Tourism Mississauga perform live. Snack on papri chaat, watch dazzling Garba routines and more at the FREE #BollywoodMonster Concerts presented by TD at Mississauga Celebration Square.

Sat Jul 22 @ 2 pm EST – Watch Ash King, singer of “Nazar Na Lag Jaaye” from the film Stree, perform live. Dance to Bollywood x 80s fusion while watching a laser show and more at the FREE #BollywoodMonster Concerts presented by TD at Mississauga Celebration Square.
