The Canadian Hindu Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted the highly anticipated ‘Invest India Invest Canada 2024’ event at Dhaliwal Banquet Hall in Surrey, British Columbia. The event, held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, was a resounding success, bringing together business leaders, government leaders, cultural ambassadors, and community members to foster economic collaboration between Canada and India. The event had over 300 attendees.
The event commenced with a vibrant networking session where attendees enjoyed tea and snacks while engaging in meaningful conversations and forging new business connections. Following this, the ceremonial segment began with a graceful Ganesh Vandana and the traditional lighting of the lamp (Deep Prajwalan) by Chief Guest, Mr. Masakui Rungsung, Consul General of India (CGI) – Vancouver, CHCC National President Kushagr Sharma, CHCC Advisory Board Member Aditya Tawatia and Secretary Maharshi Jani. President Sharma gave the inaugural speech and introduced the honourable CGI. Mr Masakui Rungsung, highlighted the importance of strengthening economic ties between the two nations and discussed opportunities of trade between Western Canada and India. Consul Amitabh Ranjan was also in attendance, adding to the significance of the event. A short speech was made by Surrey Councillor Linda Annis and Surrey Councillor Mike Bose. A series of cultural performances, coordinated by Sushmita Ji and Neema Ji, showcased the rich cultural tapestry of India.
The speaker segment featured enlightening presentations from Yogesh Bhatia, Sid Mishra, Sourabh Bansal, Make in India, Invest Canada and other speakers delivering insights on various aspects of Indo-Canadian economic collaboration. The event also provided a platform for sponsors to introduce their businesses and services, highlighting the diverse business interests supporting the event. The event concluded with a networking lunch, allowing attendees to continue their discussions over a delightful meal, providing an informal setting to solidify connections made earlier and discuss potential collaborations.
The event was meticulously planned by the CHCC National Directors Manish Garg, Neema Manral, Maharshi Jani, and Kushagr Sharma, along with the BC Chapter life members Achal Singhal, Gagan Goyal, Rohit Bhardwaj, Sushmita Mishra, and Ritu. Their combined efforts ensured the seamless execution of the event and contributed significantly to its success.
