Aspiring entrepreneurs can begin their journey to realize the dream of business ownership at the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA)’s upcoming Franchise Canada Show Toronto, returning in-person from October 22-23 at Toronto’s Enercare Centre.
“This is the largest franchise-only exhibition in Canada, where you can explore the world of franchising as an opportunity to be in business for yourself, but not by yourself,” says Sherry McNeil, the CFA’s President & CEO. “Around 70% of everyday Canadians view entrepreneurship as a desirable career choice. For those aspiring business owners, attending the Franchise Canada Show is an important first step in their journey as they connect with representatives from top franchise brands and learn from successful local franchise business owners and other experts in franchising.”
Franchising is resilient, diverse, and ready to grow in 2022 and beyond, according to the CFA. Franchising is an attractive and powerful way for Canadians to become business owners because it offers the advantages of a proven concept, a recipe for success, and ongoing support from the franchise system.
The proof of franchising’s success is its status as the 12th largest industry in Canada, contributing over $120B to the Canadian economy each year. It continues to experience growth, with total franchise-related employment in Canada expected to grow by 2.1% to 1.85 million jobs by 2023 – equivalent to 38,200 net new jobs.
Ontario is estimated to add the largest number of franchise establishments by the end of 2023 (+769 net establishments and 2.27% growth to 34,636), which showcases how franchising continues to offer Canadians with the dream of business ownership a reliable and quicker path to success. Franchisees are small business owners who have access to systems and support from proven brands, something that can take away a lot of the uncertainty that can exist when going it alone.
The Franchise Canada Show is the ultimate one-stop shop for anyone looking to take control of their future through franchise ownership. Over two action-packed days, attendees gain access to Canada’s top franchises, engaging panel discussions, expert consultations, free samples, resources, and more. Entry is free for those who pre-register.
Topics covered this year’s panel discussions include:
● How to Select the Right Franchise For You
● Fundamentals of Franchise Financing
● What Makes a Good Franchise
● How to be a Rockstar Woman in a Leadership Position
● And, Move Over Millennials – Reaching the Next Generation of Franchisees
